(2007)|"Singles 1968-1971" is a
box set compilation of singles byThe Rolling Stones spanning the years 1968 to 1971. The latest in a series of repackages byABKCO Records , who licence The Rolling Stones' 1963–1970 recorded works, "Singles 1968-1971" is the third of three successive volumes to commemorate their non-LP releases during this era. While the set features faithful replicas of all individual single covers (even the
CD s are reproduced in black), the set—and both its predecessors—came under some criticism as to their necessity, especially as 1989's "" already covered this material to satisfaction. Furthermore, the last half of this collection concentrates on post-contractual material from "Metamorphosis" and the "Sympathy for the Devil " remixes byThe Neptunes in 2003. However, "Singles 1968-1971" does manage to include a bonusDVD of visual material - four songs - stretching the entire decade of the 1960s.Track listing
