It is one of the oldest express train of Pakistan. The train was introduced long back in around 1940 as express train via
Faisalabad to Karachi. It was called Shaheen Express before being renamed in 1985. It was redirected in 1998 viaWazirabad Lahore line and later on in 2004, it was redirected viaNarowal Lahore Line.Origin of Name
