William Karush (Born 1917-03-01 , died 1997-02-22) was a professor emeritus of California State University at Northridge and is a mathematican best known for his contribution to Karush-Kuhn-Tucker conditions. He was the first to publish the necessary conditions for the inequality constrained problem in his Masters thesiscite paper|author=W.
