The Midori (みどり?) (English: Green) is a limited express train service in Japan operated by JR Kyushu which runs between Hakata and Sasebo.

Services currently use 783 series EMUs. From 1976 to 2000, all trains were formed of 485 series EMUs.

History

Until 1975, the Midori was a train that operated between Osaka and Sasebo using 583 series EMUs. The route was changed following the opening of the Sanyō Shinkansen.
