Services currently use 783 series EMUs. From 1976 to 2000, all trains were formed of 485 series EMUs.
History
Until 1975, the Midori was a train that operated between Osaka and Sasebo using 583 series EMUs. The route was changed following the opening of the Sanyō Shinkansen.
