The Metropolitan Transportation Authority (New York) operates approximately 4550 buses under the MTA New York City Bus (New York City Transit) brand, another 1,300 buses under the MTA Bus brand within New York City, parts of southwestern Yonkers, NY and parts of Nassau County, NY and another 350 buses under the Long Island Bus brand within Nassau County, NY and parts of eastern Queens County, NY and western sections of Suffolk County, NY.
