(O. F. Müller, 1774)[1]Discus rotundatus is a species of small, air-breathing, land snail, a terrestrial pulmonate gastropod mollusk in the family Discidae, the disk snails.
Distribution
This species lives in Western and Central Europe. It is found in the Czech Republic, Poland, and Slovakia. It is also found in Great Britain, Ireland, France, southern Scandinavia, and other countries. Its range includes Turkey.[2]
The species has been introduced to Canada and the USA, and has become established in a few places. It does not appear to have the capability to become an invasive pest species in North American, as it lives in leaf litter and forms colonies where the individuals do not tend to spread widely.
