List of molluscs recorded in Slovakia

List of molluscs recorded in Slovakia

There are 254 (according this list, for more recent information see "Recommended literature" section) species of molluscs living in the wild in Slovakia. In addition there are at least 1 gastropod species in greenhouses.

There are 228 species of gastropods (53 species of freshwater gastropods, 175 species of land gastropods) and 26 species of bivalves living in the wild.

There are 4 non-indigenous species of gastropods (2 freshwater and 2 land species) and 2 species of bivalves in the wild in Slovakia. This is altogether 4 freshwater non-indigenous species of wild molluscs.

;Summary table of number of species

There are 3 extinct species in Slovakia (locally extinct): "Theodoxus transversalis", "Esperiana esperi" and "Vallonia declivis".

There are endemic species of molluscs in Slovakia:
*"Alzoniella slovenica" in Slovakia (and in Moravia in The Czech Republic too)
* "Alopia bielzii clathrata" (Rossmässler, 1857)
