- Gateway State Trail
The Gateway State Trail is an convert|18.3|mi|adj=on multiple use
rail trail inMinnesota .The trail starts at
Cayuga Park near downtown St. Paul, and extends to the northeast along an abandonedSoo Line Railroad corridor to Pine Point Park. An asphalt track runs the entire length of the developed corridor, and a segregated natural surface track parallels the asphalt track for 9.7 miles between I-694 and the trail's terminus at Cayuga Park. In winter, the segment of paved track along the natural surface track is groomed for cross country skiing. It was designated aNational Recreation Trail in 2002.
