Its seat is the village of Jeżewo, which lies approximately convert|12|km|mi|0 north of Świecie, convert|54|km|mi|0|abbr=on north of Toruń, and convert|55|km|mi|0|abbr=on north-east of Bydgoszcz.

The gmina contains part of the protected area called Wda Landscape Park.
