Nishter Medical College is located in Multan, Punjab, Pakistan. It was named after the famous politician Sardar Abdul Rab Nishter Pukhtun. This is among the most prestigious educational institutes in Southern Punjab . Degree is awarded in M.B.B.S and Dentistry (B.D.S ).

History

The College started functioning under its affiliation with Punjab University Lahore, the only university in Punjab at that time. In 1975 Bahauddin Zakariya University came into existence for the people of South Punjab. The college was then affiliated with BZU. Recently the University of Health Sciences is founded to enroll all the medical institute of the Punjab. The buildings added to the campus in the 1960 to 1980 were designed by A. R. Hye.

Location

The College is located at a distance of 3 km from the city centre. The Campus is spread over 20 acres of land. The Nishter Hospital is also located adjacent to college. Nisther Hospital is the largest hospital in the south Punjab.
