It was listed by the Department of Transportation as one of three new stations that would be built for the line, the others being Enfield and North Haven/Hamden.The station would be located on Francis Avenue near the Willard Avenue overpass. It would have a total of 200 parking spaces and be a combination train and bus station on the Hartford-New Britain Busway.
