Bulverhythe (also known as Hastings Bulverhythe) was a temporary railway station on the Brighton, Lewes and South Coast Railway in Bulverhythe, now part of Hastings, East Sussex. [ [http://www.kentrail.co.uk/Brighton.htm Kent Rail, "Brighton".] ]
The Brighton, Lewes and Hastings Railway was the first to reach Hastings when their line was approved in 1839. It was to run along the coast from the west as far as St. Leonards and, pending the construction of a bridge over the River Asten [ [http://the-bull-inn.com/menu5.htm The Bull Inn.] ] , a temporary terminus named Hastings Bulverhythe was opened on 24 June 1846 on a site near the Bull Inn on Bexhill Road. [ [http://www.snowing.co.uk/sias/articles/main_6.htm Sussex Industrial Archaelogy Society, Brighton to Three Bridges, 27 December 2004.] ] It was extended a short distance to the east on 7 November 1846 to its permanent terminus called West Marina. The line was an extension of the London, Brighton and South Coast Railway's line from Lewes and was purchased by the railway company in 1847.
St Leonards West Marina station closed in 1967 and the only remaining station in the West St Leonards area is West St Leonards.
