- Mole River (New South Wales)
-
The Mole River is a river in northern New South Wales, Australia.
The source of the Mole River lies in the Great Dividing Range, between Glen Innes and Tenterfield in the northern part of the New England highlands. The Mole River flows generally to the west and flows into the Dumaresq River. By way of the Macintyre River, Barwon River, Darling River and Murray River, the Mole River is one of the remotest headwaters of the Murray-Darling system.
The area drained by the Mole River is hilly, rocky and rather remote.
The Tenterfield Shire Council has called for a dam to be constructed on the Mole River.[1]
