Billy Wasmund

Billy Wasmund

William S. “Billy” Wasmund (d. October 1911) was an American football player and coach. A native of Detroit, he played quarterback under coach Fielding Yost at the University of Michigan from 1907-1909. In 1910 he was hired to coach the University of Texas football program. After a 6–2 season in 1910, Wasmund fell from his second-floor apartment while sleepwalking on October 1, 1911. At first his injury was not thought to be serious, but his conditioned worsened and he died several days later.
