Šalčininkai (pronunciation|Salcininkai.ogg, _pl. Soleczniki) is a city in Vilnius County, Lithuania, situated south-east of Vilnius, near the border with Belarus.

Šalčininkai got its city rights in 1956 and is now a capital of the Šalčininkai district municipality. Šalčininkai feature a multi-ethnic population of Poles, Lithuanians, Belarusians, Russians and Roma people. The city's coat of arms, designed by Arvydas Každailis, shows three hazelnuts symbolizing solidarity of the population. The region has one of the major Polish communities of Lithuania. Olympic Champion Władysław Kozakiewicz was born in Šalčininkai. In June 2003 town twinning agreement between Šalčininkai and Łowicz (Poland) and Żnin (Poland) was signed.
