Twin Hickory Elementary School is a public elementary school located in Glen Allen, Virginia in the Three Chopt District of Henrico County Public Schools. Twin Hickory Elementary was established in 1999.
After School Activities
Twin Hickory provides many after school activities such as "MadScience", knitting, chess, scrapbooking, and "Reflections". "Reflections" is a program that asks a question and participating students will answer that question through art, music, film, and dancing. Some students have gone onto county and state level "Reflections". There is also "D.R.U.M." which stands for "Discipline, Respect, and Unity through Music". There is a competitive audition to select the fourteen to seventeen members of the group. Recently, Twin Hickory has announced that it will be piloting a new program that teaches children how to play string instruments. Twin Hickory is the only elementary school in Henrico County that has this program.
