Lieutenant General Edward A. Rice, Junior is an United States Air Force officer rated Command pilot. He is currently Commander, United States Forces Japan and previously served as Vice Commander, Pacific Air Forces, Commander, 13th Air Force, and Commander, Kenney Headquarters (P), Hickam AFB, Hawaii until October 2006.

Education

Rice is a 1978 distinguished U.S. Air Force Academy graduate where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree. In 2006, he attended a Joint Force Maritime Component Commander Course, Naval War College at Newport, R.I.

Riceh has flown more than 3,800 flying hours with B-1B, Boeing B-52G/H, E-3, Northrop Grumman B-2, Boeing KC-135, Cessna T-37 and Northrop T-38 as a pilot.
