As of the
census GR|2 of 2000, there were 2,624 people, 1,176 households, and 684 families residing in the CDP. Thepopulation density was 120.3 people per square mile (46.5/km²). There were 1,925 housing units at an average density of 88.3/sq mi (34.1/km²). The racial makeup of the CDP was 93.29% White, 0.46% African American, 0.61% Native American, 2.13% Asian, 0.23% Pacific Islander, 1.56% from other races, and 1.71% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 4.15% of the population.There were 1,176 households out of which 21.9% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 50.6% were married couples living together, 4.7% had a female householder with no husband present, and 41.8% were non-families. 27.3% of all households were made up of individuals and 4.3% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.23 and the average family size was 2.71.
In the CDP the population was spread out with 17.4% under the age of 18, 6.6% from 18 to 24, 32.8% from 25 to 44, 32.4% from 45 to 64, and 10.8% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 42 years. For every 100 females there were 120.3 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 124.0 males.
The median income for a household in the CDP was $59,511, and the median income for a family was $73,333. Males had a median income of $40,208 versus $31,652 for females. The
per capita income for the CDP was $41,451. About 3.0% of families and 4.9% of the population were below thepoverty line , including none of those under age 18 and 12.4% of those age 65 or over.References
