Coincidence
Dylan Ace was born on October 31, 1981, The Great Harry Houdini, who is still considered today as one of the greatest Magicians & Escape Artists in history, died on October 31, 1926. Also, Dylan is the same height Houdini was. Ace has always been fascinated by Houdini, ever since childhood after seeing the Houdini movie starring Tony Curtis, Houdini quickly became one of Dylan's heroes.
Ace's Notable escapes
Milk Can Escape
First presented by Houdini in 1901. In this effect, Houdini would be handcuffed and sealed inside an over-sized milk can filled with water and make his escape behind a curtain. As part of the effect, Houdini would invite members of the audience to hold their breath along with him while he was inside the can. Advertised with dramatic posters that proclaimed "Failure Means A Drowning Death", the escape proved to be a sensation.Ace successfully accomplished this escape twice, once on the legendary Latin television host Don Francisco show Don Francisco Presenta on Univision and at a Gala in South Florida hosted by Dan Marino and KC of KC and the Sunshine Band
Suspended burning rope straitjacket escape
This was one of Houdini's most popular publicity stunts was to have himself strapped into a regulation straitjacket and suspended by his ankles from a tall building or crane. Houdini would then make his escape in full view of the assembled crowd. Ace did this escape twice in honor of Houdini as well, he was suspended upside down by a crane 13 stories high over the cement ground, and Ace added fire to the rope, making the escape a race against time before the rope burns out. Ace successfully escaped from the regulation strait jacket. The second time Ace did the escape, ropes were tied tightly over the strait jacket making the escape even more difficult, and football legend Dan Marino checked out the regulation strait jacket and tied Dylan up in it!
