Stockham is a village in Hamilton County, Nebraska, United States. The population was 60 at the 2000 census.

Geography

Stockham is located at coor dms|40|42|56|N|97|56|37|W|city (40.715452, -97.943713)GR|1.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 0.2 square miles (0.4 km²), all of it land.

Demographics

As of the censusGR|2 of 2000, there were 60 people, 19 households, and 14 families residing in the village. The population density was 351.8 people per square mile (136.3/km²). There were 21 housing units at an average density of 123.1/sq mi (47.7/km²). The racial makeup of the village was 100.00% White.

There were 19 households out of which 42.1% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 68.4% were married couples living together, 5.3% had a female householder with no husband present, and 21.1% were non-families. 21.1% of all households were made up of individuals and 10.5% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 3.16 and the average family size was 3.73.

In the village the population was spread out with 31.7% under the age of 18, 16.7% from 18 to 24, 20.0% from 25 to 44, 28.3% from 45 to 64, and 3.3% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 35 years. For every 100 females there were 106.9 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 105.0 males.

The median income for a household in the village was $31,250, and the median income for a family was $43,125. Males had a median income of $26,250 versus $0 for females. The per capita income for the village was $9,310. There were 23.1% of families and 37.9% of the population living below the poverty line, including 47.4% of under eighteens and 50.0% of those over 64.
