Marc Kenny (born 17 September 1973 in Dublin) is a former Irish footballer.
A midfielder he made his League of Ireland debut for Shamrock Rovers at Finn Harps on the 12th of October 1996. He spent almost 9 years at the Hoops making 2 appearances in European competition, getting sent off once [1]
Put in a transfer request due to a lack of game time under Liam Buckley at the start of the 2003 season [2].
A tremendous free kick taker, Marc's connections to Rovers went back much further as older brother Harry Kenny spent 13 seasons at the club.
A product of Home Farm he spent three and a half years at Liverpool and later played for Crewe, Apoel Nicosia, Bangor and Glenavon before signing for Rovers.
He now works as a Football In Community Development Officer for the Football Association of Ireland [3] and coaches Phoenix F.C. in the Leinster Senior League (soccer).
