Shahan Shahnour also known as Armen Lubin (real name "Shahnour Kerestejian",
August 3 ,1903 ,Istanbul -August 20 ,1974 ,Paris ) was a French-Armenia n writer and poet. He is considered as a renowned Diasporan author in theWestern Armenia n tradition with his own style of writing.Biography
Shahnour studied at
Istanbul Berberian Armenian school. In 1923 he moved toParis , where he published "Retreat without Song" novel in "Haratch" newspaper (1929) at first and then as a separate book. Despite of his terrible bone disease (since 1939 he spent his life in a French hospital) he continued to write both in Armenian and in French, and received several literary awards. He died in the "San Rafael" hospital,France .Books
