(1968)"Fist City" is a Country music song written and made famous by Country singer,
Loretta Lynn in 1968.About the song
"Fist City", a song written and sung by Loretta Lynn, was about a wife afraid that another woman is trying to steal her husband from her, after finding out the woman is talking about being with her husband. In the song, Lynn theatens the mistress telling her she looks like trash and belongs in a garbage can. Throughout the song, Lynn continues to tell the mistress to leave her husband alone if she doesn't want to get in a fist fight, or what Lynn calls "Fist City".
"Fist City" became Lynn's second No. 1 hit in early 1968. Released under Decca Records, and produced by Owen Bradley, "Fist City" was recorded in late 1967, but not released until early 1968. An album of the same name was also released that was also as successful as the single. "Fist City" would be one of 16 No. 1 Country hits Lynn would have during the course of her career. Her first was early 1967's "
Don't Come Home A' Drinkin' (With Lovin' on Your Mind) ".###@@@KEY@@@###succession box
