Jodie Campbell (born
18 January 1970 ) is anAustralian politician. She was elected in the 2007 Federal Election as anAustralian Labor Party member of theAustralian House of Representatives in theDivision of Bass in NorthernTasmania .Ms Campbell defeated sitting member Michael Ferguson by a narrow margin of 1%. This was somewhat remarkable considering she had the lowest primary vote of any triumphant federal candidate of the 2007 federal election, 37%.Fact|date=September 2008
Ms Campbell's history in politics goes back to the downfall of the Australian airline
Ansett in 2001 where she worked as an official for theAustralian Services Union , a position she used to organise call centre workers.
