Kentucky (DB)Head coaching record Overall 0–1 Bowls 0–1 Chris Thurmond (born c. 1951 in Sand Springs, Oklahoma) is an American football cornerbacks coach for the Kentucky Wildcats and was the interim head coach for the University of Houston Cougars.[1] Thurmond led the Cougars in the 2007 Texas Bowl after Art Briles left before the game to become head coach of the Baylor Bears football team. The Cougars lost to the TCU Horned Frogs 20-17.
