She is one of the leading Gaelic singers in Scotland and has toured and performed throughout the UK, Europe and North America.In 2004 Fiona was voted the BBC Scotland Traditional Music Personality of the Year at the [http://www.handsupfortrad.co.uk/ Scottish Trad Music Awards] . She was also nominated as Gaelic Singer of the Year in both 2005 and 2006.
She currently works for the Highland Council as the [http://www.highland.gov.uk/leisureandtourism/gaelic/mhairimhor.htm Mairi Mhor Gaelic Song Fellow] , promoting Gaelic song and language throughout the communities of the north of Scotland. As part of her role she organises and manages the young, all girl Gaelic harmony group "Fionnar" who have competed successfully at the

Her most recent recording, Duan Nollaig has received rave reviews including Scotland on Sunday newspaper. It is a collection of 35 Gaelic Christmas songs and carols and was produced by well known music theatre director and composer,

Fiona is currently working on a book of the Songs and Carols which will be available before Christmas 2008.Fiona was also selected as one of the Scottish representatives in the [http://www.nos-ur.eu/ Nòs Ùr] song competition.
