Jack Williams is the chief anchor on WBZ-TV in Boston, Massachusetts. He is seen on the 6 and 11 PM editions of "WBZ News". He has been with the station since 1975 and has been at the anchor desk ever since. He is best known for anchoring the news with longtime co-anchor Liz Walker from 1981-2000. His current co-anchor is Lisa Hughes.
Early career
Originally from Idaho, Williams graduated from the University of Oregon. He first appeared on television in 1968 on KIRO-TV in Seattle. He later worked at KORK-TV in Las Vegas before joining WBZ.
Wednesday's Child
In 1981, Williams founded "Wednesday's Child", a non-profit adoption agency for special needs children. A different child is featured every Wednesday at 6PM. He has been honored by Presidents Ronald Reagan and Bill Clinton for his efforts at the White House.

Williams has received honorary doctorate degrees from Curry College, Salem State College, Fitchburg State College, Merrimack College, Framingham State College, Worcester State College, Newbury College and Wheelock College.

Williams lives in the MetroWest part of Massachusetts with his wife, Marci.
