- Aspartate-tRNAAsn ligase
In
enzymology , an aspartate-tRNAAsn ligase (EC number|6.1.1.23) is anenzyme that catalyzes thechemical reaction :ATP + L-aspartate + tRNAAsx AMP + diphosphate + aspartyl-tRNAAsx
The 3 substrates of this enzyme are ATP,
L-aspartate , andtRNAAsx , whereas its 3 products are AMP,diphosphate , andaspartyl-tRNAAsx .This enzyme belongs to the family of
ligase s, specifically those forming carbon-oxygen bonds in aminoacyl-tRNA and related compounds. The systematic name of this enzyme class is L-aspartate:tRNAAsx ligase (AMP-forming). This enzyme is also called nondiscriminating aspartyl-tRNA synthetase. This enzyme participates inalanine and aspartate metabolism .References
