The RNA Ontology Consortium is an international
organization whosepurpose is to create a standardvocabulary forstudying ribonucleic acid . The Consortium is one of theNational Science Foundation 'sResearch Coordination Network s. The Foundation shall provide 500,000 USD to support the Consortium for fiveyear s. The Consortium's information shall be hosted byBowling Green State University and available via theinternet .The Consortium's leader is Dr. Neocles Leontis, a Bowling Green State University
chemistry professor . The Consortium also includesscientist s from theUnited States ,Great Britain ,France ,Canada andAustralia . Researchers fromStanford , Duke,Yale , andRutgers universities, theGeorgia Institute of Technology ,University of California, Berkeley , theUniversity of North Carolina at Chapel Hill , theUniversity of Rochester , theUniversity of Montréal ,Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory , theInstitut de Biologie Moléculaire et Cellulaire in France, andThe Scripps Research Institute shall participate in the Consortium.References
