Dufek Massif is a range of peaks in the Pensacola Mountains of Antarctica, centered at 82°24′S 24°45′W / 82.4°S 24.75°W. It covers 11,668 square kilometres (4,505 sq mi) and its highest point is England Peak 2,150 metres (7,050 ft). It is named for Rear Admiral George J. Dufek who participated in the exploration of the Antarctic in the mid-twentieth century.[1] Dufek Coast, Dufek Head, and Dufek Mountain are also named for Dufek. Other notable local terrain features include Kelley Spur, a rock spur 2 nautical miles (3.7 km) east of Spear Spur on the south side of Dufek Massif.
