The hills are to the north and northwest. The location SE ofAmaliada , S of SSW ofPatras , SW ofSimopoulo , WNW ofOlympia, Greece Olympia , NW of Pyrgos and about 16 m NE ofKatakolo .ubdivision

Vounargo is surrounded by olive and other types of groves along with pastures and mixed farming. The mountains, forests and several valleys lie to the north and to the northwest. Much of the mountains are forested. A mining area, situated north of Vounargo, is presently abandoned.
