Chain Gang (DC Comics)

Chain Gang (DC Comics)

Chain Gang War was a series from DC Comics that began in July, 1993, and was cancelled in June, 1994. It was about a group of murderous vigilantes, known as the Chain Gang, who would kidnap criminals and put them into special holding cells at their base of operations in a city near Gotham City. They are assisted by a middle aged butler. The series was written and created by John Wagner and artist David Johnson. The book also had guest appearances by Deathstroke the Terminator and the Jean-Paul Valley Batman. The series only lasted 12 issues due to low sales which ended with the team members getting killed or arrested.
