Siward's Howe, also known as Heslington Hill, is a terminal moraine located in
York . It is fabled for its imposingwater tower , rumours of paganrites taking place on it, and Siward himself, the Danish warrior romanticised inMacbeth , rumoured to be buried beneath the hill.It is the contemporary site of much of the
