Echo (producer)

Paul Irizarry, known artistically as Echo is a Grammy Award winning Puerto Rican producer/songwriter.

Musical career

Echo has worked for the last 10 years with major Latin Hip-Hop & Reggaeton artists, producing beats, recording and mixing songs. Echo has worked with Tempo, Daddy Yankee, Don Omar, Tego Calderon, Vico C, Ivy Queen, Hector "El Father", Jadakiss, Jazze Pha, Baby Ranks, Fat Joe, Tony Touch, Pitbull, Tony Sunshine, DJ Kane, PUYA, La Secta, Diaz Brothers, Yaga & Mackie, Divino, Don Dinero, Benzino, Mr. Cheeks, Bounty Killer, Beenie Man, Capleton, Gilberto Santa Rosa, Cultura Profetica, K7, Cecile, Mr. Easy, Wayne Wonder Alexis & Fido, Wisin & Yandel, Voltio, Tito "El Bambino", Mc Ceja, Mexicano, Baby Rasta, Carlos Baute, Eddie Dee, Tony Rijos, Giovanni Hidalgo, Polaco, Lito, among other major artist and producers.

In 2004 Echo received a Latin Grammy for Best Urban Album as producer and engineer on Vico C's "En Honor a la Verdad". In 2005 received a Latin Grammy for Best Engineered Urban Album on Daddy Yankee's "Barrio Fino" and was also nominated for Best Latin Rock/Alternative album for Vico C's "Desahogo".

Echo's most recent hit single "Bandoleros" performed by Don Omar feat. Tego Calderon was 18 weeks on Hot Latin Tracks. "Bandoleros" is on Don Omar's album "Da Hit Man Presents Reggaeton Latino", #1 on Hot Latin Albums for 8 weeks.

In 2007 Echo's new record label Insomnio Records released a compilation album titled Echo presents Invasion featuring all major Latin artists and many American artist such as Don Omar, Daddy Yankee, Jazzy Pha, Zion & Lennox, Yaga & Mackie.

New projects include by Echo includes the first single on the highly anticipated Tego Calderon album on Atlantic Records and 2 tracks on Daddy Yankee's Interscope album and also scoring & co-producing the soundtrack album for Yankee's upcoming film "Talento De Barrio". Echo will also be producing Cuban hip-hop/rap band Orishas upcoming album & West Coast group Crooked Stilo.
