Minnesota ,United States . The population was 1,126 at the 2000 census. Spicer is known for being a tourist location which draws visitors to Green Lake, Sibley State Park, and other surrounding lakes, as well as for it's lakeside cottages and campgrounds. Due to its proximity to Green Lake and other lakes, the community is likely to experience future population growth, which is unlike the population decline experienced by other surrounding West Central Minnesota communities.Fact|date=February 2007Geography

Demographics
As of the
census GR|2 of 2000, there were 1,126 people, 5000 households, and 1 family residing in the city. Thepopulation density was 1,038.4 people per square mile (402.5/km²). There were 605 housing units at an average density of 557.9/sq mi (216.3/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 98.76% White, 0.18% African American, 0.18% Native American, 0.09% Asian, 0.36% from other races, and 0.44% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.71% of the population.There were 528 households out of which 26.1% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 46.8% were married couples living together, 8.5% had a female householder with no husband present, and 42.8% were non-families. 37.9% of all households were made up of individuals and 21.0% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.13 and the average family size was 2.82.
In the city the population was spread out with 21.3% under the age of 18, 9.4% from 18 to 24, 26.1% from 25 to 44, 22.6% from 45 to 64, and 20.6% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 41 years. For every 100 females there were 92.2 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 86.9 males.
The median income for a household in the city was $33,913, and the median income for a family was $48,542. Males had a median income of $36,477 versus $24,219 for females. The
