Claveria is a 4th class municipality in the province of Masbate, Philippines. It is located in the island of Burias Island, southeast of the nation's capital of Manila. According to the 2000 census, it has a population of 38,398 people in 7,730 households. The municipality was named after the Spanish governor-general Narciso Clavería y Zaldúa.
