Hindustan College of Engineering (H.C.E) is a Christian minority educational institution, which is now renamed as Hindustan Institute of Technology and Sciences (HITS), was established in the year 1985, in Padur, Tamil Nadu, India. It is now a deemed university. The courses offered here are approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Government of India. Location

Hindustan College of Engineering is located at Padur (near Kelambakkam), about 22 km south of Chennai, on the Old Mahabalipuram Road.

Management

The group and the college were founded by late Dr. K.C.G. Verghese. Mrs. Elizabeth Verghese is the present Chair Person of the group. Dr. T.V. Gopalakrishnan B.E, M.E, Ph.D., is the principal of the college.
