Mandarina Duck is an Italian fashion brand, most commonly associated with designer luggage and travel accessories. Its headquarters are in Bologna, Italy, and also has branches in Paris, Barcelona, Düsseldorf, Berlin, Vienna and London also with outlets such as Banbridge Outlet in Northern Ireland. It was founded in 1977 by Paolo Trento and Pietro Mannato, and its first collection was called Utility. According to Mandarina Duck brand literature, the company name and logo come from a breed of duck that lives on the banks of the Ussuri river on the border of Russia and China. They opened a flagship outlet in Malaysia since 2007.
As well as its range of luggage, Mandarina Duck have also released sunglasses, fragrances, watches, and most recently in 2007, a mobile phone.
