History
The history of the church goes back to 1704, when Queen Anne founded a "chapel of the Onondagas" to bring missionaries. The first Anglican church north of New York City was built on this site in 1715. A church designed by architect
Philip Hooker was its replacement in 1803. That second church was demolished in 1859.The church is located at the corner of State and Lodge Streets in Albany.
