2004 UK Snooker Championship

2004 UK Snooker Championship

The 2004 Travis Perkins UK Championship took place at the Barbican Centre in York starting on 15 November and TV stages shown on BBC and on Eurosport took place between 20 and 28 November 2004.

On 28 November David Gray reached his third – and to date, latest – ranking final in the UK Championship. He lost 10–1 to Stephen Maguire in the final. It was during this tournament that Gray scored his first maximum break – the 50th ever made in professional play – in the fifth frame of his last-32 match against Mark Selby (whom he had defeated in the 2003 Scottish Open final).

The quarter-final line up had an unfamiliar look as many of the top 8 players were knocked out the early stages.
