Edward Tullidge

Edward Wheelock Tullidge (September 30, 1829May 21, 1894) was a historian of Utah Territory.

Biography

Tullidge was born at Weymouth, Dorset, England as Edward William Tullidge.cite web|author=Norwood, Scott|title=Tullidge, Edward Wheelock|work=Who Was Who in RLDS History|url=http://www.geocities.com/scott_norwood/TullidgeE.html|accessdate=2008-07-23] He became acquainted with the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the late 1840s. Among those who he would walk to church with at this time was the later Latter-day Saint poetess Emily Hill Woodmansee.

Tullidge emigrated to Utah Territory in 1861. In 1868, he associated with the Godbeite movement. In 1879 he became a member of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Among Tullidge's books was "The Women of Mormondom".
