Kenneth Ross "Ken" Henry AC (born November 27, 1957) is an Australian economist and public servant. He has been the Secretary of the Department of the Treasury since April 2001.
Henry was born in Taree, New South Wales. He studied economics at the University of New South Wales, and then lectured in economics at the University of Canterbury in New Zealand while studying for his Doctor of Philosophy degree at the same institution. He returned to Australia and has worked for the Treasury department since 1984. During this time, he has served as an Australian representative to the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (1992-94). He has been the Treasury department secretary since April 2001; as such, he is a member of the board of the Reserve Bank of Australia.
