Trelogan

Trelogan is a village in Flintshire, north east Wales. It is located between Mostyn and Trelawnyd and is almost contiguous with Berthengam. Trelogan has a population of approximately 200 people.

The village has its own primary school ("Ysgol Gynradd Trelogan"), a public house (The Afon Goch), community centre, photographers studio, animal rescue centre and, until 2005, its own post office.

The name Trelogan derives from the name Logan. The person believed to have founded the village having being named that. The village in history was the locality for several lead-zinc mines, working at least until 1841.

Education

Trelogan Primary School ("Ysgol Gynradd Trelogan") is a primary school that educates around 60 pupils, aged 5-11, and has 3 full-time staff. The Headteacher of the school is Mrs Margaret Madoc-Jones. The school was opened in 1908.
