This page consists of two tables. Table 1 is sourced from the [https://www.cia.gov/library/publications/the-world-factbook/rankorder/2127rank.htmlThe CIA World Factbook] . It is a list of countries by total fertility rate (TFR): the expected number of children born per woman in her child-bearing years, based on 2008 age-specific fertility rate data. Sovereign states are ranked. Some countries might not be listed because they are not fully recognized as countries at the time of this census.
Table 2 is sourced from the [http://www.un.org/esa/population/publications/wpp2006/WPP2006_Highlights_rev.pdf United Nations World Population Prospects: 2006 revision] – Table A.15.

Table 2 UN TFR Ranking
Table 2 is a list of countries by total fertility rate (TFR): the expected number of children born per woman in her child-bearing years. Figures are from the 2006 revision of the United Nations World Population Prospects report, for the period 2000-2005 and 2005-2010, using the medium assumption. [ [http://www.un.org/esa/population/publications/wpp2006/WPP2006_Highlights_rev.pdf United Nations World Population Prospects: 2006 revision] – Table A.15] Only countries/territories with a population of 100,000 or more in 2007 are included. Rank is based on 2005-2010 figure.
