Japan Karate Association / World Federation is the soul and source of Shotokan Art. It’s the largest and among the most influential of modern karate organizations.Fact|date=October 2007We are JKA/WF-Kuwait Branch.JKA Kuwait does not represent Kuwait, but they represent JKA in Kuwait, or represent JKA Kuwait branch internationally.
The actual beginning for JKA Kuwait was sometime in late 70's beginning of 80's under Sensei Ali Hamiya, who was one of the founders for Kuwait Karate Federation, when Sensei Hamiya has left the country for good sometime in 1997, Sensei Atef Abatha represented JKA Kuwait and was the national coach for Kuwait Karate Federation team. Because Sensei Atef Abatha left the country for good also in 2007, JKA Middle East Arab and Africa chief instructor Shihan Hideki Okamoto, has decided to give the leadership in Kuwait for Sensei Marwan Sultan, who become the official and only JKA representative in Kuwait and had GoDan (5th Dan) degree in June/2007in cairo under Shihan Hideki Okamoto.
Sensei Marwan Sultan has opened a private Dojo for JKA-Kuwait, and a website has been created for this purpose.
The official Examiners, Instructors and Referee for Kuwait JKA are:
* Sensei: Ali Parvenfar graded to RuKuDan (6thDan) in September, 2007
* Sensei: Marwan Sultan graded to GoDan (5thDan) in June, 2007
JKA/WF is an official member of WKF. All JKA certificates are world recognized.Fact|date=October 2007
