The club, nicknamed The Panthers, compete in theAlberton Football League , a competition taking in many clubs in the SouthGippsland region.The club was formed in 1957 as a result of the merger between the Kilcunda and Bass football clubs, winning a premiership in the first season after the amalgamation. Prior to entering the Alberton Football League, the club played in the Bass Valley-Wonthaggi Football League and the West Gippsland-LaTrobe Football League.
