The unicameral parliament of the Serbian autonomous province of Vojvodina is known as the Assembly of the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina (Serbian: Скупштина Аутономне Покрајине Војводине / "Skupština Autonomne Pokrajine Vojvodine"; Hungarian: "Vajdaság Autonóm Tartomány Képviselőháza"; Romanian: "Adunarea Provinciei Autonome Voivodina"; Croatian: "Skupština Autonomne Pokrajine Vojvodine"; Pannonian Rusyn: Скупштина Автономней Покраїни Войводини; Slovak: "Zhromaždenie Autonómnej pokrajiny Vojvodiny").

The Parliament's Speaker is Šandor Egereši (SVM). The current parliament was elected in 2008.

It's elected by the Parallel voting system, with 60 deputies elected by direct vote and 60 individually from each municipality of Vojvodina.

Building

The Parliament building, known as Banovina Palace, is the seat of the Assembly of the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina. The building is located in Novi Sad, the capital of Vojvodina.

Throughout its history, it was the administration centre of the Danube Banovina (or Banate of Danube) and residence of the Ban of Danube, who ruled over the Banate of Danube. During the World War II, Banovina Palace was the headquarters of the Hungarian Military Administration for Bačka, which was headed by General Bela Novakovič.
