Domesday Book , [ [http://www.polebrook.org.uk/domesday_record.html Domesday Polebrook ] ] and was the centre of a large administrative area (the Polebrook Hundreds). There was a wooden church here which supposedly pre-dated the Church of All Saints. The 351st Bomber Group was stationed at the
airfield near Polebrook duringWorld War II , and theflag of the United States hangs as a memorial to the men, along with a roll of honour in the church.
