Centis is an Americanized version of the Italian Surname Centi(Ch en tē).

Derivation

The name derives from centi, the Latin centum meaning hundred.When Italian immigrant Valentino Centi reached America, the "S" was added to the Centi Surname in order to make it appear more American.
