Kerry Howley

Kerry Howley

Kerry Howley is a senior editor of Reason Magazine.

She first came to Reason as an intern after graduating from Georgetown University with a B.A. in Philosophy and English in 2003. After her initial stint at Reason, she spent the next year living in Myanmar, and working at the "Myanmar Times and Business Review", based in Yangon, Myanmar.

In 2005, she returned to Washington D.C., and became a permanent member of the Reason staff. In 2006 she was promoted to associate editor, and in 2007 she became senior editor.

In addition to her contributions to Reason, Howley's work has appeared in the "New York Times","Los Angeles Times", "Reader's Digest", and the "New York Sun". She has been a guest on NPR's On the Media, Fox News' Weekend Live, American Public Media's Marketplace and Bloggingheads.tv. She is a frequent guest of Fox News' Red Eye w/ Greg Gutfeld.

Howley's article [http://www.reason.com/news/show/118517.html "Who Owns Your Body Parts"] was named the "Best Magazine News/Investigative Article" by the Los Angeles Press Club at the 2008 Southern California Press Club Awards.
